Propel Your Career to New Heights and Conquer Any Professional Challenge with Confidence. Your Journey to Lifelong Success Begins Now.
OUR APPROACH
Performing at an optimal level on television doesn’t magically happen as soon as the cameras go live. To maximize your TV appearance, you must also know media etiquette – as well as what goes on behind the scenes.
That’s why your half-day media training session also includes the media consulting and advice you’ll need for success, including:
- Common interview mistakes
- Dos and don’ts of TV interviews
- General media etiquette
- How to handle technical problems
- How to get prepared for the “Green Room”
- What to expect at a television studio or on a TV set
- What to wear – and what to avoid wearing
- How to conduct virtual/remote interviews
For one-on-one media training, the scope of our work also goes far beyond the day(s) we meet you for media training.
Prior to our first coaching session, we:
- research your organization thoroughly
- examine the most recent press coverage you’ve generated if any
- assess current media issues and opportunities within your industry
By doing our homework prior to our first meeting and investigating your business in the way a seasoned journalist might, we’re able to pose the real-life questions a print, radio, or television reporter might ask. We also don’t waste your valuable time.
Media coaching/training
But don’t worry. By peppering you with questions the way a reporter might, our goal isn’t just to put you in the proverbial “hot seat.” It’s to prepare you for any potential media scenario – ranging from the routine queries you’re likely to face to the hard-hitting, adversarial, or “gotcha” interviews that may arise during a crisis. During our session(s), we will:
- Develop key messages
- Rehearse your talking points, stats, and anecdotes
- Run on-camera, simulated media interviews
- Review media etiquette and what to expect
- Go over an interview best practices checklist … and more

Post-training media critiques
After our media training session(s), we offer:
- A written summary of talking points and messages
- In-depth critiques of your actual media interviews
- An analysis of the core elements of your on-air performance
